Cracks have begun to appear in the Afghan Taliban-Pakistani establishment alliance as a result of the former’s backing for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and escalating tensions along the Durand Line. At the recent Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) session in Islamabad, the Taliban leadership in Afghanistan essentially downsized its representation.
