The Indian Railways has planned to cancel around 441 trains on January 29 and 1,006 on January 30 due to the operational difficulties in bad weather. The origin station for 24 trains has been changed to Saturday, while the destination station for 18 trains has been changed to Sunday.

The majority of the cancelled trains connect West Bengal, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Assam, New Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. The railways stated that visibility has also been substantially hampered as a result of fog interfering with train operations.
