Ukrainians gather outside the White House to show their support for their homeland

            As the Russia-Ukraine war escalates, Ukrainians gathered in front of the White House in Washington, DC, on Sunday to show their support for their homeland.

According to Yevgeniy Shaporynskyy, a Ukrainian American and member of a US Ukrainian Activist organisation, it was the largest gathering his group has witnessed since they began conducting daily protests following the Russian invasion. Many guests acknowledged their affection for their motherland, Ukraine. Some others expressed their rage and demanded greater punishment for Putin. According to Yevgeniy Shaporynskyy, a Ukrainian American who is also a member of the US Ukrainian Activist organisation that helped organise the demonstration, Sunday’s event was the largest protest the organisers have seen since they began conducting daily protests following the Russian invasion. Some advocated for greater US participation in the conflict.
