Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai, one of the few Afghan leaders who opted to stay after the Taliban’s control of the nation, believes India should reopen its embassy in Kabul and reengage with Afghanistan and its “de facto administration”. Mr. Karzai tells The Hindu, more than six months later, that Ukraine must learn from Afghanistan’s mistakes and not allow foreign countries to wage a proxy war in its nation.
