Troops defending Kyiv are ‘firmly maintaining positions’, according to Ukraine’s army1 min read
The Ukrainian Armed Force’s General Staff stated that its Kyiv military grouping was “repulsing the enemy’s attack”, causing damage and securely retaining its positions.
The information was included in the latest “operation information” on major battlefield events provided by the military on Wednesday at 06:00 local time (04:00 GMT).
Because of “many casualties”, Russia’s military is continuing to perform “covert mobilisation” under the pretence of hosting training camps, as well as expanding attempts to “recruit volunteers”, according to the statement.
Russia’s military has not commented publicly on the storey, which has not been independently corroborated. No conscripts will be sent to Ukraine, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
