Tokyo announces 10,080 new cases and 30 fatalities from COVID-19.

On Thursday, Tokyo reported 10,080 new cases of COVID-19, a decrease of nearly 2,200 from the previous week. The seven-day average of new cases was 9,402.0, down from 11,342.4 the previous week. The number of serious cases under Tokyo’s definition remained at 64, unchanged from Wednesday, while the city recorded 30 new fatalities due to COVID-19. On Wednesday, the number of new COVID-19 cases in Japan was at 63,742, a decrease of almost 8,900 from the previous week. On Wednesday, the number of serious cases in the United States fell by 27 from Tuesday to 1,321. There were a total of 213 new fatalities among coronavirus patients.
