To Envision Racing, Jaguar will supply Gen 3 Formula E powertrain technology

Jaguar and Envision Racing are two of the Formula E’s biggest names. These teams have now established a prospective customer supply arrangement for the forthcoming Gen 3 Formula E era. Under the terms of the partnership, Jaguar will equip the fellow-British team with its proven powertrain technology. The partnership will begin with the season opener in 2022/23.

Formula E is gearing up for its third generation. Gen 3 racing will include highly sophisticated all-electric racing cars that provide cutting-edge performance, efficiency, and sustainability. Envision Racing will get the most recent iteration of Jaguar’s high-voltage electric motor, inverter, gearbox, cooling system, casing, and suspension for the Gen 3 era. Williams Advanced Engineering is the company’s long-term technical partner for Formula E. This collaboration has resulted in a powertrain that is, to some extent, the baseline in FIA Formula E. Envision Racing may now profit from this as well. As a result, four Jaguar-powered racing cars will take to the track in the next season.

Envision Racing and the Jaguar factor team have 15 victories and almost 40 podium finishes between them. Through an active exchange of technical experience in Formula E, this collaboration would benefit both parties. On the track, the two would remain adversaries in the future seasons as well.
