The United Nations General Assembly will gather tomorrow to discuss Ukraine: A look at what’s happened so far

            The United Nations General Assembly’s (UNGA) emergency special session will reconvene on Wednesday to debate the Ukraine conflict, which is already in its fourth week. This comes after 22 member countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States, wrote to UN Secretary-General Abdulla Shahid, requesting that an emergency meeting be convened. “Following up on a letter received from 22 Member States earlier today for the resumption of the 11th Emergency Special Session of the General Assembly, I will be convening the ESS at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, 23 March 2022, in General Assembly Hall, UN Headquarters, New York”, wrote UNGA President Abdulla Shahid on Twitter.
