“The United States has declared economic war on Russia, and it is de facto fighting this war,” said Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesperson. The Kremlin said on Wednesday that the United States has begun an economic war on Moscow, citing a barrage of sanctions imposed in response to the country’s military incursion into pro-Western Ukraine.
