The Internet has been disrupted in Ukraine as a result of a ‘powerful’ cyberattack on a state-run telecommunications company.

On Monday, Ukrtelecom’s internet service was disrupted due to a “strong” hack. The incident is the most recent cyber attempt on Ukrainian internet services since Russian soldiers invaded in late February. According to Yurii Shchyhol, chief of Ukraine’s State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection, the attack was repulsed. And now Ukrtelecom is in a position to begin restoring its services to customers.”
