Google is planning to introduce a new version of Android for smartphone users in New Delhi. Google provided its first developer peek on Friday, ahead of the debut of the latest version, Android 13. The Android 13 developer preview includes a number of updates aimed at developers, including improvements to privacy, Material You, language controls, and more. Developers, not end users, are the target audience for these early trials. According to GSMArena, the first public beta build of Android 13 should be available in April, with the final release scheduled for sometime after July.

Expected Key Features in Android 13

The next-generation Android 13 platform might have the ability to scan QR codes from the lock screen. Apps on the Android 13 platform will be able to send media to neighboring devices with a single tap. The Android 13 platform will also bring significant enhancements in Bluetooth audio streaming. Google has incorporated the LE Audio codec (LC3) and offered it as a new option in the system settings. When connecting to an audio device, the codec takes precedence, which means that enabled devices will attempt to create an LE Audio connection first.
