The era of Blackberry is ended

January 4th- Blackberry is ending its services once and for all, As blackberry announced in September 2020, the broader company will totally shift its focus on enterprise security and solutions. “As another milestone in the BlackBerry journey, we will be taking steps to decommission the legacy services for BlackBerry 7.1 OS and earlier, BlackBerry 10 software, BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 and earlier versions, with an end of life or termination date of January 4, 2022,” the company said at the time..

Blackberry was almost star of the smartphone industry but the entry of Apple smartphone to the market in 2007 which striked the sale of Blackberry smartphones. Eventually the share market of bluberry got wiped out.

Blackberry never gave up they kept coming with innovation in smartphones by selling android based smartphones than own operating systems, even though they made many attempts to make their way through smartphone industry , their products doesn’t reach the mainstream. Which lead to the fall of its company and to stop their smartphone production in 2016 and shift their focus towards cyber-security software for enterprise customers instead of making hardware.
