The highly awaited prequel series “The Continental” will be available to stream on Amazon outside of the United States, the Middle East, and Israel, which is good news for all John Wick fans. In the US, Peacock originally planned to air “The Continental.” However, it has no official release date but is anticipated to make its debut in 2023.
The three-part series, which stars Colin Woodell as young Winston Scott, is based on the movie series starring Ian McShane. “Throughout the series, viewers will follow Winston through the underground of ’70s New York, where he will confront demons from his past as he strives to capture control of the legendary hotel,” reads the description of the program.
Mel Gibson will play Cormac in the prequel series, along with Ayomide Adegun as a young Charon, Ben Robson as Frankie, Hubert Point-Du Jour as Miles, Jessica Allain as Lou, Mishel Prada as KD, Nhung Kate as Yen, and Peter Greene as Uncle Charlie, a character modeled after the body disposal specialist from the movies.
