Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin announced on Thursday an all-party meeting on January 8 in Chennai to address the state’s demand for exemption from NEET, since an Assembly bill in this respect is pending with the Centre.
The Chief Minister stated that the Centre had not moved on the Tamil Nadu Assembly Bill requesting exemption from NEET because an all-party delegation led by DMK Lok Sabha member T R Baalu could not obtain an appointment with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday.
“In order to discuss the next plan of action, the State Government has convened an all-party meeting on January 8,” Stalin told the state Assembly.
