Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan has approved a measure calling for greater anti-aircraft missile training. Wang Ting-yu, a Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) politician, co-sponsored the motion. During a meeting of the Legislative Yuan on Thursday morning, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmaker Wang Ting-yu () suddenly proposed a resolution requesting that the military train reservists in the use of portable anti-air weapons, according to CNA. Ukraine’s success in fighting invading Russian soldiers using Stinger FIM-92 surface-to-air missiles and Javelin FGM-148 anti-tank missiles has been noted in international media.
