Taiwan recorded 126 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, including six locally transmitted illnesses and 120 imported cases, the island’s disease monitoring office said, marking the biggest daily number of cases originating outside since the epidemic began.
According to Xinhua News Agency, three of the new local illnesses were contacts of previously confirmed cases, while officials were still probing the sources of the other three infections.
Taiwan has recorded 21,784 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 15,500 of which were local infections.
