South Korea has a record-breaking 6 lakh COVID-19 instances each day

On Thursday, South Korea’s daily COVID-19 case count exceeded the previous record, with over six lakh new cases recorded for the first time since the epidemic began.
On Thursday, the country recorded a record 6,21,328 new cases, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
Its death toll has also reached an all-time high, with 429 people killed on Thursday.
The extremely infectious Omicron form of coronavirus is causing an exponential spike in COVID-19 infections in South Korea.
Its Thursday total represents a 55% increase in daily COVID-19 cases in only one day.
Previously, South Korea reported 4,00,741 new daily COVID-19 instances on Wednesday.
