Sold infant for Rs 50,000; Four arrested in Delhi

Four persons have been detained by the Delhi Police for allegedly selling children to childless couples.
According to authorities, they obtained information about the racket at the Tis Hazari court complex police post on January 22, after which two officers disguised as a decoy pair and approached one of the accused.
“They described themselves as an adolescent-free pair. The accused and her friend demanded Rs. 50,000 and then led them to Mangolpuri, where another woman was there with the child and her mother”, Sagar Singh Kalsi, deputy commissioner of police (north), confirmed the incident.
“We nabbed them right away. During interrogation, it was discovered that they were operating a swindle”, The DCP stated.
