Smith surpasses Tendulkar, Sehwag, and Dravid’s Test batting record

Steve Smith left several Asian batting giants in the dust with his 59-ball performance to set a new batting record.
Steve Smith, Australia’s batting superstar, has three half-centuries in three Tests against Pakistan, but a century remains elusive. That hasn’t prevented the former Australia captain from setting batting records. Smith launched Australia’s tour of Pakistan with a 78 in the first Test in Rawalpindi, followed by a 72 in Karachi, both of which finished in a draw. Smith was at his run-scoring best again on Day 1 of the Lahore Test, making 59 runs.
Despite some doubts about Smith’s ability to turn his fifties into hundreds, he has looked solid in each of the innings he has played thus far.
