“I GOT TROLLED FOR PREMAM”
Shruti Haasan said in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in that she is seldom trolled. She did, however, acknowledge to being ridiculed for one of her Telugu flicks.
“I believe the only time I was ridiculed was for a Telugu film called Premam. Everyone adored the first flick (in Malayalam, also titled Premam, starring Sai Pallavi, a role that Shruti reprised, and Nivin Pauly). The film’s female protagonist was adored. And for a little moment, I wondered if I should have done it. But I said, “No, I’m going to do it my way, the way I prefer.” It makes no difference what people think. I admired the original, but I didn’t want to be like her, and I couldn’t. So I simply had a good time. And, thankfully, the film went really well, and I exclaimed, “Thank God!” “Shruti said.
