Selena Gomez’s battles with mental illness have not been kept a secret from the public. The Disney star’s documentary, “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me,” is expected to reveal a lot of personal details about her. Prior to that, Selena had an open conversation with Rolling Stone in which she admitted that the medicine she takes for her bipolar disease may prevent her from ever being able to bear her own children. Expresses her inner thoughts on how she would love to embrace parenting, but that there are still certain obstacles to overcome. The 30-year-old actress described her one friend’s struggle to conceive while telling Rolling Stone that “it’s a really significant, enormous present thing in my life.” After spending some time together, Gomez said that she started crying because she was worried that she might not be able to have children in the future because of her two bipolar disorder drugs.

She nonetheless still aspires to have children in the future. She continued, however, I’m meant to have them, and I will. After describing her 2018 “psychotic break,” Gomez said she doesn’t recall much of it. Her condition improved after taking so many pills, and eventually, her psychiatrist removed all but two of the meds. The singer told the magazine, “I had to detox from the medications I was on basically. I had to develop my memory for specific words. When we were conversing, I would lose track of where I was.”

Selena Gomez talked candidly about starting a family on a “Giving Back Generation” program a few months ago. She stated in August, “I aspire to be married and a mother. In the same vein, Selena said in the interview with Rolling Stone, I grew up assuming I would be married at 25. I was so far away from that couldn’t have been more that it wrecked me. Even though it was so foolish, I truly believed that my world had ended.”
