All Bengaluru schools and colleges will resume physical courses on Monday, despite a modest decrease in Covid-19 cases in Karnataka. The Karnataka government, led by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, had previously relaxed restrictions due to the state’s low hospitalisation rates and declining Covid-19 caseload.

Following a high-level meeting with Covid experts, the Karnataka government lifted most of the state’s restrictions on Saturday. Revenue Minister R Ashok said that the government has decided to lift the night-time curfew from January 31.

In addition, the government has lifted the restrictions on worship centres. Special pujas at temples have been granted permission. Open meeting locations are also permitted to operate with full capacity.
