Russia’s assaults are expanding westward, into new areas1 min read
This morning, Russian soldiers launched a fresh offensive, with missile attacks targeting airfields in the western cities of Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk.
For the first time since the assault began just over two weeks ago, they have also bombed the central-western bastion of Dnipro.
Refugees from bombarded cities have fled to Ukraine’s west, believing it to be safer. Tens of thousands of people have passed through Lviv, a major civilian hub. The attacks on Friday are targeting cities on either side of the border.
