Russia-Ukraine War Live Updates: Russian Strikes on Ukrainian Capital and Surrounding Areas of Lviv

            Russian forces launched more missile strikes and shelling on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and the western city of Lviv on Friday, as international leaders called for an investigation into the Kremlin’s repeated attacks on civilian targets including as schools, hospitals, and residential areas.

According to media sources, at least three explosions were heard in the morning in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, with the city mayor adding that Russian missiles targeted an area near Lviv’s airport. Casualties rose as a result of Russian bombardment, with one of the most recent victims being a US citizen who had stayed in the nation to be with his Ukrainian girlfriend who had multiple sclerosis.
