According to a statement from Ukraine’s state emergency services, Russian shelling damaged a 12-story residential building near downtown Kyiv early Wednesday, causing flames on many stories. The structure in the Shevchenkivskyi area is only a few kilometers from the Ukrainian capital’s core. According to initial reports, two persons were hurt as a result of the bombardment. According to the statement, 37 individuals were evacuated from the building. The incident also caused damage to a nearby nine-story building, according to the statement.
