Russia-Ukraine war live update: Ukraine’s Central Bank Requests Armenia, Vietnam, and Others To Stop Accepting Russian MIR Payment Cards

The Central Bank of Ukraine has urged leading banks in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan to halt transactions with Russia’s MIR payment cards. The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has urged the apex banks of the aforementioned countries to discontinue accepting MIR payments in ATM and POS networks. MIR is the Central Bank of Russia’s electronic fund transfer mechanism. Due of the current conflict in Ukraine, YouTube has disabled all monetization capabilities in Russia.
