In a speech to Japanese MPs, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Japan to exert “greater pressure” on Russia. He said that Japan was the first Asian country to exert pressure on Russia, and that “continuous pressure on Moscow will assist in the restoration of peace.” Not in the Diet’s plenary session hall, but in two distinct rooms of the House of Representatives (the lower house of the National Diet of Japan).
