Director-General Rafael Mariano Grossi of the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) stated in a statement that the agency is aware of reports that electricity has been restored to the Chornobyl nuclear power plant and is awaiting confirmation. Ukraine has previously told the IAEA that the complex was powered by emergency diesel generators.
