Russia-Ukraine Conflict: Kyiv the capital city is woken in air raid alerts

            In the midst of a growing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the capital city of Kyiv received an air attack warning on Thursday. Residents were encouraged to seek refuge in safe places.

“An air attack warning has been issued for Kyiv. Residents should evacuate to the nearest shelter”, The Kyiv Independent tweeted.

Many more cities, including Mykolaiv, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernihiv, were warned of air strikes, according to the magazine.

Meanwhile, Russian forces attacked a military faculty building at Sumy State University in Ukraine’s north-eastern city of Sumy this morning.

In the United Nations General Assembly, India abstains from voting against Russia. The United Nations General Assembly overwhelmingly condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Since the conflict began last week, almost 8,70,000 people have fled Ukraine.
