Russia-Ukraine Conflict: Kyiv the capital city is woken in air raid alerts

In the midst of a growing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the capital city of Kyiv received an air attack warning on Thursday. Residents were encouraged to seek refuge in safe places.
“An air attack warning has been issued for Kyiv. Residents should evacuate to the nearest shelter”, The Kyiv Independent tweeted.
Many more cities, including Mykolaiv, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernihiv, were warned of air strikes, according to the magazine.
“Air raid warnings in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernihiv and Chernihiv Oblast, Volyn Oblast, Cherkasy Oblast, Kirovohrad Oblast, Poltava Oblast, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa”, Kyiv.
Meanwhile, Russian forces attacked a military faculty building at Sumy State University in Ukraine’s north-eastern city of Sumy this morning.
“A building of Sumy State University’s military faculty in Ukraine’s north-eastern city Sumy was bombarded this morning by Russian forces”, said Dmytro Zhyvytsky, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration. In the United Nations General Assembly, India abstains from voting against Russia. The United Nations General Assembly overwhelmingly condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Since the conflict began last week, almost 8,70,000 people have fled Ukraine.
