According to the UK Defence Ministry, Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, remains Russia’s top target, and a further drive is expected in the coming weeks.
According to the most recent morning dispatch, fierce battle continues north of the capital, although Russian advances from that direction have paused.
“Despite the persistent lack of progress, Kyiv remains Russia’s major military target, and attempts to encircle the city are expected to take precedence in the coming weeks”.
