According to Ukrainian Interior Ministry adviser Anton Gerashchenko, Major General Oleg Mityaev perished during the invasion of Mariupol. In his nightly speech, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned the death of another Russian general but did not identify him. Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine’s Prime Minister, claims that the invasion has cost his nation more than $500 billion (£383 billion) in damages.
