Ravindra Jadeja of India ascended to the top of the ICC Test rankings for all-rounders on Wednesday following his match-winning effort against Sri Lanka in the first Test in Mohali.
“Ravindra Jadeja’s performance in India’s recent Test victory over Sri Lanka in Mohali has pushed him to the top of the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings”, the ICC stated in a statement.
With the bat, his undefeated 175 moved him up 17 places, from 54th to 37th, while with the ball, he moved up to 17th. His all-around performance was sufficient for him to reclaim the top all-rounder ranking from Jason Holder, who had held it since February 2021.
