Pull back on a deceptive commitment – Ukraine’s military

According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Russia’s departure vow is intended to deceive.
The general staff stated in a daily operations report posted on Facebook that Russian forces were continuing to withdraw from both Kyiv and Chernihiv. Russia has previously said that it will now concentrate its efforts in the eastern Donbas region.
The Ukrainian military thinks the withdrawals are “most likely a rotation of individual units” intended to deceive Ukraine’s military leadership and create a “misconception” about the nature of their deployment.
The update follows comments made by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, who warned that despite Russian force deployments away from Kyiv, the threat to the capital persisted.
The enemy also continued to “fire and storm” near Donetsk in the east, according to the statement.
