Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Tokyo to attend the state funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Mr. Modi will see Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida separately during his visit to Tokyo. Japan’s longest-serving Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, was assassinated on July 8 while giving a campaign speech in western Japan ahead of the House of Councillors election on July 10.

Prime Minister Modi and Abe have a tight friendship.
