According to media sources, the government has made significant adjustments to the document criteria in order to combat fraudulent operations under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) Scheme.

The revised guidelines, the government has made the ration cards as required papers to avail the PM-KISAN Scheme benefits.

Eligible people must now submit their ration card number and soft copies as well as bank passbook, valid soft copies of their Aadhar card and declaration form, to the PM-KISAN website.

It may be noted that a few days ago, media sources stated that 7 lakh farmers in UP may be required to return money received under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme’s 10th payment due to terms and conditions being ineligible. These 7 lakh farmers were found to be either paying income tax on other sources of income or ineligible for the monetary incentive of Rs 2000 each installment. The PM KISAN Scheme distributes Rs 6000 per year in three 4-monthly payments of Rs 2000 each straight into the beneficiary’s bank accounts.
