Pakistani intruder shot dead at J&K Arnia sector

The BSF has noticed unusual activity in Jammu and Kashmir’s Arnia Sector.
A search and rescue effort are now underway in the region.
In 2021, 182 terrorists were murdered, including 44 senior ultras.
A Pakistani infiltrator was shot dead along the international border in Jammu’s Arnia district on Monday, according to Border Security Force (BSF) officials.
According to them, the event occurred between the nights of Sunday and Monday.
The BSF claimed in a statement that its soldiers on patrol in Jammu and Kashmir’s Arnia Sector saw suspicious movement.
“Alert soldiers of BSF Jammu fire upon suspicious movement of Pak invader in Arnia sector of Jammu region near Border Pillar No 978,” the BSF, which is tasked with guarding the 3,323-kilometer India-Pakistan border, stated.
The shooting occurred on the nights of January 2-3, according to the police, and a search is currently ongoing.
Meanwhile, DGP Dilbag Singh of Jammu and Kashmir claimed on Friday that 182 terrorists, including 44 senior ultras, were killed in 100 successful operations in the Union Territory in 2021.
He also stated that 134 young people joined terrorist ranks in the Union area this year, with 72 of them neutralised and 22 imprisoned.
