Due to operational concerns and foggy weather, at least 495 Indian Railways trains would be cancelled today.
In addition, the national operator modified the origination station of 24 trains and short-circuited 24 others. Trains between Maharashtra, New Delhi, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Assam are among those cancelled.
Cold weather is disrupting railway services in various sections of the nation, resulting in the cancellation of over 500 trains each day. The railway officials have asked travellers who want to travel on long-distance trains to visit https://enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/mntes or the NTES app for data on train arrival and departure times.
According to the national transporter, if you bought tickets through IRCTC, you do not need to cancel your e-ticket if your train is cancelled by the railroads since the ticket will automatically be revoked and you will receive a reimbursement in your bank account within 3 to 7 days. However, if you booked your tickets through the PRS counter, you must collect them by visiting the PRS counter and filling out the appropriate form.
