Over 1500 trains for Jan 29 and 30 cancelled by Indian Railways

Due to operational considerations and weather conditions, Indian Railways has decided to cancel 441 trains on January 29 and 1,006 trains on January 30.
The starting point for 24 trains has been moved to Saturday, while 18 trains have been moved to Sunday. In addition, 25 trains will be short-circuited on Saturday and 20 trains will be short-circuited on Sunday, according to the railroads. 00979 Kisan Special, which runs between Amalsad in Gujarat and Adarsh Nagar in Delhi, 01541 Satara – Kolhapur, and Howrah Jn – Barddhaman are among those that have been cancelled.
The majority of the trains that have been cancelled travel between Gujarat, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, New Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh, among other states.
According to railways, visibility has been severely decreased as a result of the fog, which has hampered train operations. The Ministry of Railways had previously posted a video of a train entering the snow-covered Sadura Railway Station on the Baramulla-Banihal stretch.
According to an RTI request made by Chandra Shekar Guar of Madhya Pradesh, Indian Railways cancelled more than 35,000 trains for maintenance reasons in the first nine months of the fiscal year 2021-22.
