Officials said that a 6.1-magnitude #earthquake shook #Tokyo and other areas on Monday (Nov.14), but no tsunami warning was issued. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake struck at 5:09 pm off the coast of central Mie Prefecture at a depth of roughly 350 km.

According to News, a public broadcaster, there were no reports of damage, injuries, or abnormalities at the #Fukushima nuclear installations.

The earthquake was also given a magnitude of 6.1 by the #United States Geological Survey. Despite being hundreds of kilometres from the epicentre, the northern prefectures of Fukushima and Ibaraki in Japan felt shaking that was more intense. After the earthquake, the Shinkansen bullet trains and the Tokyo metro were briefly stopped, but they have since resumed.
