Leaders of the Congress G-23 breakaway faction rejected off dividing the party for the time being during a meeting. However, he urged Gandhi’s to remove supporters from critical positions in order to revitalise India’s oldest party. The meeting took place at the residence of Ghulam Nabi Azad, a key member of the G-23, or rebel group. According to the insurgents, the panel is filled with Gandhi family loyalists who have done little more than protect the top leadership while advocating cosmetic reforms. “We feel that the only way ahead is for Congress to adopt a paradigm of communal and inclusive leadership and decision-making at all levels”, the statement added.
