NEET-PG 2022 has been postponed. Most recent news update: The Union Health Ministry asked the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on Friday to push back the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG 2022) by six to eight weeks.
“…several representations were received from medical practitioners regarding a desire to delay the NEET-PG 2022 examination date, which was advertised as March 12, 2022”. Because it conflicts with the NEET-PG 2022 counselling. Furthermore, many of the interns will be unable to participate in the PG Counselling 2022 by May/June 2022. Keeping the factors in mind, the Union Health Ministry has decided to postpone NEET-PG 2022 by 6-8 weeks or as necessary, according to the health ministry’s circular.
For the uninitiated, there was a persistent demand from medical graduates to postpone the NEET PG 2022 Exams since they clashed with counselling dates. The test was supposed to take place on March 12. The NBE has yet to remark on the NEET PG 2022 delay.
The health ministry’s decision to postpone examinations comes ahead of a hearing before the Supreme Court. Today, the Supreme Court was due to hear a petition seeking a delay of the postgraduate medical entrance test – NEET PG 2022 – for the uninitiated. It further stated that medical graduates would be unable to sit the examination since the obligatory internship time had not been completed, hence the deadline for completion of the internship should be extended from May 31.
