On Thursday, MS Dhoni handed over the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings to Ravindra Jadeja ahead of the IPL 2022. The formal announcement was made by CSK via its Twitter account.
There was speculation about who would lead CSK after MS Dhoni, and now, ahead of the IPL 2022, MS Dhoni has passed the mantle to the seasoned all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. From this season forward, he will lead the guys in yellow.
MS Dhoni has been with the CSK since its creation in 2008, and this season might be his final with the team as he has retired from all forms of international cricket.
P.S. Sunil Gavaskar mentioned earlier today that Ravindra Jadeja may be the future CSK captain.
