            With a right elbow injury, England fast bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out of the 2018 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Wood was selected by the Lucknow Super Giants, who will make their IPL debut this season, for 7.5 crore at the IPL mega auction earlier this year.

The 32-year-involvement, old’s though, has been called into question after he walked out of England’s first Test against the West Indies last week. According to ESPNCricinfo, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has informed the Lucknow franchise that Wood would not be permitted to participate in the IPL this season.
