Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai stayed steady on March 11, according to a statement published by state-owned fuel dealers. However, there has been a pricing adjustment in places such as Noida and Lucknow, Gurugram, Jaipur, and Patna.
Petrol costs Rs 95.64 and diesel costs Rs 87.814 per litre in Noida; petrol costs Rs 95.13 and diesel costs Rs 86.67 per litre in Lucknow. In Gurugram, the price of petrol has risen to Rs 95.52 per litre, while the price of diesel has risen to Rs 86.74 per litre. In Jaipur, a litre of petrol costs Rs 108.07 and a litre of diesel costs Rs 91.61. Petrol costs Rs 106.44 per litre in Patna, while diesel costs Rs 91.59 per litre. The price of fuel in Mumbai was decreased on November 4 to Rs 109.98 per litre, which has remained steady. The price of diesel is Rs 94.14 per litre. From midnight on December 1st, Delhi decreased the local sales tax, or value-added tax (VAT), on fuel from 30 to 19.4 percent, reducing the price down by about Rs 8 to Rs 95.41 per litre.
