According to Ukraine’s military, Russia is sending soldiers to its borders after sustaining huge casualties during the battle.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Troops of Ukraine’s most recent battle report, “due to heavy casualties”, Russian forces “continue to build and transfer new units of the Russian Federation’s armed forces to the Ukrainian frontiers”.
It alleges that military authorities in Russia’s western Smolensk area have “intensified contracting measures”.
“Servicemen returning from a business trip to Syria are also being recruited to replace occupation troops”, the report claims.
P.S. NATO authorities think that 7,000 to 15,000 Russian troops were killed in the first month of the fight, with 30,000 to 40,000 injured.
