Kerala reports 54,537 new COVID-19 cases with 352 Deaths

The number of COVID-19 cases in Kerala has risen steadily, with the state reporting 54,537 cases on Friday, bringing the infection figure to 58, 81,133. According to the health authorities, 352 fatalities were registered, bringing the total number of deaths to 52,786.
The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) increased to 47.05 percent after testing 1, 15,898 samples in the last 24 hours. Ernakulam is the worst-affected district, with 10,571 new cases.
Among the most recent fatalities, 94 were reported in the previous few days, while 258 were labelled as COVID-19 deaths. Yesterday, the state recorded 51,739 new COVID-19 cases, while on Tuesday, Kerala reported 55,475 cases, and the greatest single-day increase in the virus since the pandemic started in 2020.
