#Jimmy Kimmel, an #American TV show and comedian who will preside over the 95th Academy Awards in March 2023, has spoken candidly about the subjects and gaffes he would bring up at the ceremony. Mr. Kimmel stated in a recent interview that he was very certain that the historic #Will Smith-Chris Rock incident will be brought up.

“It’s got to come up in some way,” he told Extra. “You know, I don’t want to really make light of it necessarily, because to comedians, you know, comedians are mad about it. It’s one of those things that for a group of people that find everything funny, it’s, like, not funny, you know? But of course, you have to. Just like when they read the wrong winner one year when I hosted the Oscars, we had to make mention of that the next year.”

Actor Will Smith approached Chris Rock on stage during the most recent #Oscars ceremony and smacked him in front of everyone. Because of her shaved head, Mr. Chris had made a joke about Will Smith’s wife and actor Jada Pinkett Smith appearing in the GI Jane sequel (Mrs Smith suffers from an acute hair loss condition called alopecia). The actor has a ten-year ban from Academy functions, including the Oscars, as a result of the incident. The Will Smith-Chris Rock Oscars confrontation had gone viral online and sparked a tonne of jokes and memes.

Later, Mr. Smith admitted in an Instagram post that he was ashamed of his behaviour but that making fun of Jada’s illness was too much for him to handle.

Regarding the Awards show, Kimmel will preside over the 2023 Oscars on Sunday, March 12, He will be serving as Oscar Emcee for the third time. He presided over the ceremony twice, once in 2017 and once in 2018. In the meantime, Mr. Kimmel’s anchoring the show was discussed by 2022.
