Jamaica Tallawahs Defeat St Lucia To Get To The Final

The Jamaica Tallawahs advanced to the final after defeating the Saint Lucia Kings in the Eliminator. They won by 33 runs and will now compete in the Hero Caribbean Premier League Qualifier 2. (CPL). Jamaica will face Guyana Amazon Warriors in Qualifier 2, who defeated Barbados in the other match of the day. The Saint Lucia Kings won the toss and chose to field first, which they exploited with a disciplined bowling effort. The Tallawahs were never at ease. However, Mohammed Nabi’s late-order hitting helped them score a manageable total.

 The Tallawahs were held to 29 for 2 in the PowerPlay by Matthew Forde and Alzarri Joseph bowling superb lengths. The Kings kept taking wickets at regular intervals, and when Kesrick Williams removed Chris Green for two, the Tallawahs were reduced to 115 for eight. Following that dismissal, Nabi led the counter-attack and concluded with 31 off 15 balls to guarantee the Tallawahs had a battling total of 148.
