Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett cancelled a trip to India after testing positive for Covid-19. The three-day tour, organized in response to an invitation from India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was meant to commemorate 30 years since the two countries established diplomatic ties. India has long been a staunch backer of the Palestinians, but has recently moved closer to Israel. Modi paid a visit to Israel in 2017, and previous Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reciprocated a year later.
