A Taliban attack in Kabul was blamed on the ISIS terror organization on Monday. The terrorist organization reported on Telegram that 20 persons were murdered and 30 were injured in the attack on Sunday. Multiple deaths were reported following an explosion outside the military airport in Kabul, according to a spokesman for Afghanistan’s interior ministry, which the Taliban control.
The interior ministry stated that it would publish the official death toll and refuted the casualties claimed by ISIS. ISIS has claimed responsibility for several special attacks in Kabul, including the one on a hotel frequented by Chinese businessmen and the shooting at Pakistan’s embassy, which Islamabad described as an attempt on the life of its ambassador but from which he escaped unharmed.
